Welcome to my gallery of handmade cards

Please feel free to "cardlift" any ideas that you see here. I do not own any of the copyright for any of the materials used here and you should purchase these from the suppliers.

The pages are long, keep scrolling down!!

Often I like to leave the cards blank when I make them, then I can add a suitable greeting embellishment when I come to use the card. This means that the designs are left quite open and sparse.

A "lumpy" card with buttons, eyelets and a removeable charm. The lattice ribbon on the left has two ribbons threaded underneath it and fastened with eyelets

This card was made using bits from a Sarah Lugg kit on a HOTP backing paper. The edge is punched with a Fiskars edging punch

This card has a textured vellum jacket over a card base. The front of the card under the jacket is cut off short and paper flowers added. There is a matching butterfly on the jacket and a vellum envelope with a tag on the front

images10.jpg

Not a very good photo. The card is made from purple mirri card with an acetate half jacket. The jacket is fastened to the front of the card with eyelets and then ribbon is tied through the eyelets.

THis card has a complete vellum jacket held on only by a gold organza ribbon. The acetate creases more easily when it is warm and even then you have to be firm with it! The butterfly is fastened on with an eyelet. All materials Dawn Bibby

A simple baby card. A kanban card with craftybitz embellishments

images5.jpg

This is a Do crafts card with a Kanban TSV teddy. The teddy was originally on a square of card but I think he looks better cut out and mounted. The card has a subtle pink pearlescence which doesn't photograph too well. The greeting comes from a Flavia scrapbooking set and is a clear sticker.

Another silver Kanban teddy, this time highlighted with pink glimmers chalk and a tiny paper flower. The embossed flowers on the card have also been rubbed over with a pink glimmers chalk.

This card uses Lisa Bearnson bits and pieces on a backing of pre-distressed hot pink scrap paper. The flower is made from two paper flowers from Prima "got flowers" layered together and fastened with an eyelet.

images2.jpg

A real mixture. The base is Dawn Bibby, as is the part jacket. The stickers are by Docraft, the flowers are by Prima "got flowers" eyeletted together and the "sweet baby" tag comes from K and Co. The organza ribbon was from a mixed collection from QVC

A very simple card. A vellum jacket over white card and tied with white organza ribbon. Less IS more!

How colour can change the look. The same stamps were used for both cards. The edges were aged with gold glimmer chalk which doesn't photgraph well

Again, one stamp coloured two ways
